SKD11 Cold Work Die Steel is an improved cold work grade comparable to Cr12MoV. This material contains about 1.4% carbon, about 11.5% chromium, about 0.8% molybdenum, and about 0.3% vanadium. It offers higher purity and more uniform carbide distribution.
Its wear resistance and polishability are better than standard Cr12MoV grades. We follow strict incoming inspection procedures. During processing, we test hardness and dimensional accuracy for each batch. This ensures consistent product quality.
Suitable for Precision Terminal Stamping and Progressive Dies
SKD11 Cold Work Die Steel is ideal for precision stamping dies for electronic terminals, progressive stamping dies, wire drawing dies, and precision wear-resistant inserts.
If you manufacture medical device molds, this material provides good dimensional stability. For heat treatment, we recommend quenching at 1030°C. The tempering temperature is 200°C to 300°C. Hardness after quenching and tempering reaches 58 to 62HRC.
